
Kun received her B.S. in Space Science & Technology and Computer Sciences from Peking University in China and her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder. Her Ph.D. study focused on the characteristics of Earth's radiation belt electrons and the source and loss mechanisms associated with the observational features. She received three years of NASA's NESSF fellowship in support of her Ph.D. research. She recently became a post-doc researcher at Space Science Institute studying ULF waves and ions in the foreshock region.
