Nick studies planet formation by observing and modeling circumstellar disks of dust, ice, and gas. He uses multiwavelength data from the James Webb Space Telescope, the Hubble Space Telescope, the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA), and many other facilities. His recent focus is measuring the ice content and dust mineralogy of planet-forming disks and the properties of photo-evaporating disks in the Orion Nebula.
